Not what the next new “hot brand of dog clothing” is, or where the most expensive/extravagent dog spa is, or the newest designer breed is, but updates on things like food, veterinary care.. You know, stuff that really matters.

I have just been worried sick about the pet food recall. It seems like nothing and no brand is safe. After they recalled the jerky treats today (which my miniature dachshund loved!), my husband and I decided we had to do something. Let me first say that my dog, Laci, is finicky with a capital F! I have tried several dry and canned foods and Little Cesar’s is all she will eat. I did alot of research on the Internet today to try to find a good dog food that was made from natural ingredients and was pleased with what I read about Solid Gold. We went to Pet Supplies Plus tonight and bought some Solid Gold “Just a Wee Bit” bison and lamb dry food. You would not believe how fast Laci gobbled it down! She absolutely loves it! I am tickled to death that she will eat this. I definitely recommend it!

Every time we have visitors my mother always keeps telling people how i sleep with my dog then they start saying how i can possibly get sick or die from sleeping with her. I have slept with my dog about 6 months, so is it possible that i could get something from her? i mean i really don’t like the idea of not sleeping with her and she got used to it but if i have to then i have to. oh and i dont really have to worry about the dominance i got that covered just about is it safe for my health (like parasites, worms, germs etc.)

I had a look at my dog’s food and was shocked that only 8% was meat!! I don’t want to give a raw natural diet but want something that I can buy that will be nearly as good. Can other dog owners give me some advice? I thought I was doing the best buying pedigree chum and things like that but they are all full of additives.
